"I love the design of the VW van, it's just that I was really excited to finish it that I even ditched some of the house chores just to get it done but got disappointed of the pieces that are missing. I think I have almost 8 pieces missing. It's my first time to build a lego which is actually an "EXPERT" category. It wasn't that hard. Another thing,in some of the pages in the instruction book, some parts are not shown where it would be put. I know it's an "EXPERT" category but unlike the ferrari 10248 which is also in the EXPERT category, the parts were highlighted where it should be placed. i think that is very helpful. All in all, I like it and I'm excited to finish it soon that's why I am looking forward to get the missing pieces :)

"I have come full and am a fully converted Adult Fan Of Lego, Grandparent of 13 and after building a Lego village for Christmas I'm totally hooked on Lego. The camper van was my first advance build, prior to that I had done some 3 in 1 builds and some shops and houses which are my passion and have been since I was a little girl. The Volkswagen Camper was a completely out of character build for me, but I can honestly say I loved every minute of it, and didn't want it too end. you know the sadness when your getting to the end of a good read, my feelings as I neared the end of this build were on a par to this. I cannot recommend this build highly enough the detail is amazing, the instructions are very easy to follow and at no point did I have to take anything apart and re-build, which in itself is an achievement. I loved everything about this build, now just need a display cabinet to put it in. I am debating wether to disassemble the camper partially & replace all of the red parts with pink bricks so I have a unique build. But I'll save that task for another day"

"I will begin by saying that I am 22 years old. This set was my first Lego Set in over 10 years, and I found it as a great way to reintroduce myself with my childhood Lego obsession.
The build uses many advanced building techniques, and I had so many "AHH HA!!" moments when building this set. After spending one hour sorting the set by piece type, things come together very easily, and it was pleasant to see the progress I made. Unlike the other LEGO Sets, this set does not featured number bags, so you need to spend time sorting pieces by their type in order to speed up the building process.
Overall, I built this over one week, in daily 3 hr periods. Everything came together well, and the instructions were very clear. The little details in the set are also very amazing, from the black and white tiles on the floor to the posters, curtains, sink, and chairs that can be converted to beds. There is even an engine and opening trunk complete with a rubber belt!!
The only problem that I had was that this set was missing pieces. I had to contact support and wait 10 days for 10 pieces to get mailed to me. It was not a huge issue because the missing pieces were for the exterior of the bus in the final stages of the build, so I was able to improvise until the bricks arrived.
All around a great build, as you get moneys worth in detail, and price per brick. Just be warned, this is not meant to be played with, or for youngsters. I view it as a display model that takes time and dedication to complete."
