"Started building the Lego Creator Modular Buildings in December 2015 and picked up the Ferris Wheel in March 2016. Took me two days to assemble it. I also bought the power functions which is fun but I think spins the Wheel too fast. The Ferris Wheel is fun and whimsical. I took a video of it and sent it to a friend. Her brother, who is an elementary school teacher, asked to use the video in his lesson plans for his class. How funny is that? I would highly recommend this set!!! Wish I could go back in time and buy the Carousel but now it's outrageously priced on eBay. Oh well!"

"This set is sort of in it's own category. Not really a building structure and not a Technic set. The assembly is somewhat challenging because a lot of the connections only use a few studs, which makes it structurally precarious and touchy. So one has to be real careful handling the structure... especially with big heavy hands like mine. The base plate pieces have relatively few connecting studs and easily come apart, making the set difficult to move. However I was able to fix this by placing the entire set on a 48 x 48 grey plate, LEGO 10701. This stabilized the entire base and made it easy to move and locate the Ferris wheel. Also the light grey plate matches several of the base pieces, which made it blend-in as part of the set. My only regret about this set is that I don't have the Merry-go-around to go with it."

"Seriously awesome.
Even though this only has ~2500 pieces it still took HOURS to put together because of all the intricacies of the build.
It was a blast to make and fun even for an adult to play with! I love sets that have functions and this has loads of them. Of course the highlight is the wheel and that really is a marvel to behold. Seriously awesome.
My favorite set so far out of 25+ that I've owned in my adult life."
