"The green base plate is just what you'd expect. It's a large green base that opens up the imagination and lets your children build whatever they want."
I would recommend this to a friend!

"it is the wrong colour. As most of the reviews here say, it should be the normal green instead of bright green which doesn't go with any old baseplates and doesn't even look like grass. also too expensive. please return to the old colour"

"i have just gotten back into the Lego's as a hobby, some of the changes made with pieces , ( this base plate, and the larger roofing pieces not being available) is very disappointing , i really spent a lot of my time building different styles of houses, interior designing as well as the exterior, so projects were quite large, and these plates can't hold up to the weight , and the larger roofing pieces made a easier on the eye roof line , and not as many pieces to complete a roof line, if i missed somewhere that this roof piece was still available i would have ordered a lot more. at this point i am not sure getting back in to this when most pieces seem more small child toy building, than an adult hobbyist"

One of the biggest issues builders seem to make with the baseplates is moving them around once a creation rests on top of them. The baseplate is designed to be the base of a model to be set directly on a flat and level surface and not to be used for transporation of your projects or LEGO sets. Perhaps knowing the purpose of the baseplate will make it less frustrating for you going forward.
In regards to the roof elements please contact LEGO Consumer Services so you can discuss this with an advisor so we can help determine what you are looking for and if that element might still be in production.
