"I honestly like this set. Sure, it could have a few tweaks to the design (which I did) and some people may/may not feel same. Here are my thoughts:
Pros: - Simple, straightforward design - Easy build - Great for play with many people
Cons: - May need tweaks to design (noses stick out in turns, cars are connected via magnets that don't always want to cooperate, etc.) - Works best on large track layout - Too steep of an incline will get the train stuck (a problem that my friend had, although a relatively easy fix.)
Overall, I like the set and so did my friend who got this set. He too took my word and got extra track to expand his layout so he could run his train all over his room.
A final word of advice, though: Try to get as much extra track as you can so you can run the train all over a room- so it is less of a trip hazard.

"This Lego train looks great, works great and has excellent play value. This Lego passenger train is most likely the best looking train I have in my city, but not many things come without disadvantages. First of all, the piece that covers the "cockpit" of the train is very hard to put on, so if you want to constantly take the driver in and out of the train, you will have some trouble. Second, holes are exposed in the passenger car. This isn't a big deal, at all, but it is kind of annoying. Third, why only a single lane crossing? Its better than nothing, but why didn't you include a double lane crossing like in the cargo train? This train is most likely going to be purchased by a kid who wants a train for their city and they would probably need a full road crossing. Overall I really like this train, but their are few things that I would change. :)"
