"I bought this Cargo train for my ten year old daughter, but I have to admit It was my dream of playing train since my childhood and have to admit to my wife my real reason of buying it. It is quiet expensive but I'm very much satisfied with the product. It arouses my daughter's creativity and imagination It makes me excited and want to build and add more accessories. "I just received this for Christmas and I am very pleased with this set. This is my first LEGO train and actually my first set I've gotten power functions in. The build wasn't very long however it was fun. It took me 2-3 hours to build it though with me taking breaks in between.
Many of the builds were great. I especially liked the crane design how it did go on airplane landing gear with train wheels. Very clever building technique. The office was plain, simple, and not much detail however I cannot complain due to this set being for young children but it would have been better for just a little more detail to the office. The forklift was a great and sturdy build and I do enjoy to play with it especially when taking the cargo off the train/truck. The truck is a nice accessory and build to this set and plays a major role in transporting cargo. The locomotive was a nice and absolutely fun build. Some of the wiring was hard to get through but me and my dad figured it out. The other cars are great especially the one with the cow and the farmer, that one got me the most. The power functions are very interesting in this set. Absolutely had fun with this set. If you are willing to pick this up or thinking about it, go ahead this will be a great set for your collection.

"This is my first LEGO train set with track. I was given the Emerald Night and Maersk Cargo Train as gifts and I enjoyed them but they have no track! The tracks in this set are a great beginning to any layout as it comes with two switches (one of the best features and that sold me).
I really like the design of the locomotive as it looks like it could be from America when most LEGO trains (besides Maersk) are more European styled. As for play with this locomotive, it is very light by design, even with the motor, batteries, and IR brick, it was light and had a hard time pulling all the cars, especially when I added additional cars (from Maersk) to it. If the locomotive had more weight over the drive wheels (motor) it would have better traction and could pull more cars with ease.
I love the crane, cargo truck and fork-lift as all three of these together give this set a tremendous amount of play value especially with the different cargo pallets. This set was designed for 4x6 pallets which are smaller than the 4x8 crates and pallets from other (older) sets. Because of this I was somewhat limited in additional cargo (from my other older sets) I could move with this train. However because of the crane, truck and fork-lift the 4x6 pallets were still a lot of fun to play with (and easy to duplicate with other pieces!)
I agree with another review that the cattle wagon seems a bit out of place since the other cargo on the train is more heavy or equipment. The wagon seems too small and out of place with this set since the other cars and accessories work so well together.
Overall, this set has a great play value, is great as a first train set with all the track and switches and is easy to add cargo pallets to (though I do with they were 4x8 instead)"
"I bought the cargo train in the Super Pack(66493) with set 60050, 7499 and 7895 and I'm very pleasured with it. The set has some nice details like the green wheelbarrow, the forklift, the cow, the container terminal, ... The main thing why I got this one is that you can easily add a secondary motor on the locomotive. I placed a switch on the front side to connect te secondary motor with the switch. Before I bought this set I checked online the building instructions to see what are the possibilies and so I made my decission. I'm very pleasured with this brother of the Maersk train.
