"As the mom and primary builder I love all the little details. Love the keurig and the fan in the police station. I really liked the use of tiles for some of the exterior walls which gives a much nicer look than plain brick.
As for play value my kids have had tons of fun with this set. I did have to modify the roof to make it removable as my kids always took it apart to play inside the office and then I had to put it together every time. It would have been nice if it was designed that way right out of the box. I would have liked the Jail to be completely enclosed but my kids don't seem to mind and love hooking the removable wall to the boat.
Overall I really like this set and would recommend especially if you can find it with some sort of discount as I feel the retail price is a but much."

"When I first saw this set, I really wanted it, firstly the Lego City police station is a lot more of a cost and this is made more simpler... It is only $90.00. NZD so For 707 peices it is a good value. The play experience is by far the best feature of this product. You get 4 vehicles and a pretty big station. Overall I would rate it 4 and a half stars. I love this Set."

"This is one of the new LEGO Swamp Police range, just launched in January. Always nice to have something new from LEGO, though I have to say I'm not sure I'm 100% behind the theme. Seems a bit of stretch of the imagination that swaps are such a hotbed of criminal activity that a police service is required to contain it, but I suppose the kids that this is aimed at have a better imagination than me. :)
Overall, I'm fairly impressed with the set itself - there is a main police station, 3 wee vehicles (plus a bike), 6 minifigs, and various other little props, like islands.
The vehicles are good, and have nice detail on them, were certainly a hit with my kids. The station itself is quite good - there are quite a few positive aspects, especially jail, and the wall ready to be pulled off during an escape - that's definitely been the favourite feature my son has been using.
While it's a good set, I'm going for a 4 rather than a 5 star rating as I'm not quite sure that the value should be a little more. The station itself, despite the nice touches, could do with being a little more substantial. If you look at what I would consider a similar set (Lego City Police Station: 60047) - the same price gets you a station that I would rate higher than this. The vehicles here are probably a bit better, but difference is marginal, I would have said.
