"Wow!! This set has so much in it. Yes it is expensive (particularly in Australia) but there is so much to build and it fits in with a number of recent sets as well (Car carrier truck to deliver vehicles to the car lot, Larry the barista to serve at the coffee chain), that I actually think it is still pretty good value for money. I have many plans for this set within my growing layout! Having said that, I'm still glad I had received a $50 voucher to help with the cost. I think this will go down as one of lego's greatest sets and definitely the best of the recent "street corner" sets."

"The price can seem a bit high in the beginning but this is one of the best sets I have seen.
It is very long lasting in terms of building experience, not that it is long per se, but having so many different items makes it really enjoyable to build building after building and playing inbetween with it.
It is very comprehensive, you keep finding some details, new things to build. The figurines are well thought and diverse, with very interesting accessories and it blends perfectly (or rather gives a context) to all the other City and Creator items.
I strongly recommend this set. It is highly playful, decently complex (for a 6-8 years old as well as older) and it brings a lot of possibilities in terms of storytelling. Congrat to the Lego team !"

"I always enjoy adding vehicles to the city I built (about 6 ft by 8 ft). This set gives you tons of vehicles to work with, and a whopping 10+ mini figures. Which is awesome by the way. It is extremely easy to build, which is good/bad depend on how you look at it. For me, since I enjoy more on placement of my buildings/vehicles/mini figures, easier build is a good thing. However, if you enjoy the process of building a Lego set, this will come as disappointment, since it takes a very short time to build, considering it has 1600+ pieces.
I love this set in general, but it is a bit expensive. Also, this is not a stand alone set like the pirate ship or creator series (which looks complete even without all the modular), so you really need a few more Lego sets to make the City Square theme work. This is why I give 4 bricks. I hope my review is helpful!"
"This is the largest LEGO City set to date, and it is excellent! It contains so many regular city stuff and a very nice looking tram. The playability is very high and can be easily added to other City theme if you are building a LEGO city. LEGO should make more sets like this: just regular city stuff. LEGO has made way too much police and fire sets, and sets like this are very helpful for those of us who would like to build a LEGO city. Well done LEGO!"
