"The temple is nicely designed, but let's be honest--everyone gets this set for the dragon. And what a dragon! We collect Lego dragons, and this is the best we've built. Unlike some of the dragons, this is one solid beast. Everything is built of multiple layers, so it stays together--this one will not fall apart when you play with it. And the design is awesome; a lot of thought went into making it look good. Definitely my favorite Lego dragon, and one of my favorite Lego sets, period."

"This is a very cool set. It's a lot bigger than it looks and takes up a lot of space. The shrine part is very detailed but somewhat loose when assembled. The dragon is extremely detailed and has a lot of moveable parts. I like the details on the head and the shape of the body. It comes with six minifigures and two Skreemers. The ninja are cool, but the sword holders on the shoulder pads are difficult to put a sword into. The hover boards are nice vehicles for the ninja. The ghost minifigures are cool and I really like the new leg piece and green blade attached to the chain. On both ghosts with swords the sword holders are very loose and the sword on the right side falls out very easily. Once again, this is a very nice set."

"In recent years, Ninjago has sort of gone downhill in my opinion. Ever since rebooted I feel as though the sets have been weaker than the first two seasons. However, this season has a awesome wave of sets that blows my mind. The dragon in this set is huge, and looks really cool for display and is fun too play with. The new ninja uniforms look really good, the contrast between the black armor and suit and the ninja's elemental color looks really cool, and, in my opinion, is the best suit so far and way better than the last 2 suits. The evil green ninja is awesome and has some really cool new molds. Even the enemy ghost minions are really cool, with semi-transparent legs and heads. Well, besides Wrath who has a really cool new leg-piece that really gives a ghost effect. This is also the only set that has more than one aeroblade. Overall this is a amazing set and a step up for ninjago,"

"This set is absolutely fantastic, and to me it was the best Ninjago dragon set LEGO has ever made. Not to say the other dragons were bad, but this one is grabs your attention easily. You'll notice the color scheme, the sand green color is vivid and I haven't seen it on any LEGO set I've lived to see. The wings have a very nice texture and looks great on the set itself. The head is even better, its brick built and has a lot of depth into it, it's what gives the dragon its fierce look aside from its other physical features. Its body reminds me of a Chinese dragon with its serpent shape as if it were waving through the air. It has a ghoulish looking saddle on the top for the Evil Green Ninja to control the dragon. The temple is nice too play wise, it was a pretty simple build but it looks great with the glow in the dark studs to act as a lamp post. It includes a Realm Crystal and some weapons to play out a scene from the show series. The jet boards have high play potential, they are extremely easy to build and you can use them to help the ninja Kai and Jay take on the Morro Dragon and the Evil Green Ninja. The minifigures are amazing , my favorite amongst them is of course, the Evil Green Ninja. He has a very nice hood and cloak that exerts a melting type look, and the print is great on the front and back. Next up is Wrayth, this set and the City of Stiix are the only sets that include Wrayth with the ghost leg variants. Ghost warriors Yokai and Cowler are both awesome too, Yokai has a great hood piece, on the back of the hood it looks like his ghost aura is leaking out. Cowler is a great looking minifigure too, he has a different torso print than Yokai and a different hat, but you can safely say they look relatively the same without their hat and face accessories. Both warrior's wield weapons that contain glow in the dark snow cone pieces. Last but not least are the two hero ninjas Kai and Jay, they too look similar but are separated by their secondary color and slightly different torso pieces. Overall I was very satisfied and pleased with the end product, the dragon itself was absolutely astonishing. The temple and jet boards put the icing on the cake, and the minifigures put the cherry on top. This set was a blast to build and still is a blast to play with and quite frankly , it was worth every penny."
