"from the moment I saw this guy I hoped he would be a good set, everything was pointing towards him being one, and while his lower legs are kind of restricted, overall he is a fantastic set. Umarak does reuse some aspects from the skull villains, such as the ribcage, bow and sword, but they honestly really help his motif.
He reminds me of a windigo or something like that from folk lore, his antlers that are clearly not his give the vibe that he stole these from ancient prey that he's killed, the same goes for the pelt across his chest printing. His color scheme is so fantastic and his mask looks like a mix of poisoned/burnt tree bark. He can even unite with the other creatures, though he looks best with Uxar, he does look pretty good with any of them, just Uxar gives him the best silhouette.
Overall, Umarak has a great color scheme, two weapons, a great build, and makes an excellent villain for any of the toa."
"You have done it again LEGO. Good job. My trust into BIONICLE has been lifted up.
I bought Umarak only because it looked cool in the picture. Color schemes were just about right and it looked complete. Antlers were simple but majestic. I built it in roughly 20 minutes. Umarak's built seems very sturdy. Joints have good friction in them and legs work very nicely. You can make awesome stances with it. Moving waist is usefull feature.
Only downside are those shadowtrap pieces presenting shoulder armor. They interfere a bit with unity connection so i must adjust them into weird position.
Overall this is one of the best looking BIONICLE sets of the wave."
I would recommend this to a friend!

"When I first saw images of the early 2016 sets, Umarak the Hunter immediately stood out to me. Probably because he reminds me of Herne the Hunter or Cernunnos from mythology. He's far more detailed than any of my old bionicle sets, and I love the play features, especially the bow. The "trap" monster that can be made from his shoulders is awesome, and I'm really a fan of the new technic chain pieces. I suppose my only complaint is that the bow is more of a gattling gun, would be cool to have something mechanically more authentic.
Additionally, I purchased the little winged green beastie the box shows connected to his back. overall the color scheme compliments well and I'll probably leave them connected."
"As a serious fan of the original Bionicle line, I'm looking for this reboot of the same series to start delivering some really great sets and stories pretty soon. In short, Umarak did not disappoint one bit. Lego took the Hero Factory CCBS, and used it the "right" way: The arms and legs are stable, pose-able and have good detailing. The back is not skeletal or exposed. I don't even need to mention the brilliance of the mask, and those awesome antlers he has. This guy is the first real villain of Bionicle G2, I feel, and he absolutely did the theme justice. He's menacing, mysterious and has a nice assortment of traps and weapons on him. Great GREAT job, Bionicle Group; Umarak has earned a place among my other Bionicle villains worthy of display."
