These packs are all about army building. So ask yourself, can you build an army with this pack? Sure. If you want a ton of two figures you'll have plenty of with the other TFA sets. We don't need the First Order Technician and a First Order Crew member 3-4 times over, which if you're building an army is what happens. So you're paying $13 for less then half what you really want in an army builder set.
The FA Stormtroopers all already in short supply with the TFA sets (You're other army builder , the transport comes with 2 STs with flamethrowers, some we see only briefly in the film, and not something we need 5-6 of, which is what we end up with if we buy 3-4 of these, which we would of course do if it would build the army we see in the film). So Here we get our chance to build the FA army we so very much want.... And Lego gave us two army mini figures & two guys we don't need a few dozens of. I was all set to buy 12 or more of this set, and even if it was only the Technician or Crew MF I probably still would. But as it stands, the Stormtroopers are really the only win here. There's a turbo laser turret, but unlike the Death Star gunner set, this gun isn't even close to scale with the Minifigures & build it isn't only not fun, it's over in less time then it takes you to sort out & put together the Minifigures.
The set isn't the worst, because it's all we have. But compared to the other army builders, it's hardly up to par with what we want & normally get from Lego. Much like a few of the other TFA sets, it shows a real lack of effort to give collectors a great set.
It's still your best option for building a army though, each FA trooper cost around $10 each on eBay. So paying $13 for two isn't as bad as that.
Bottom line: If you want a FA army, you don't have a choice. Just be prepared to either have a ton of two figures you don't need & can't sell or trade because no one else wants them either."
"This is a very good set for little children who are just getting in to Star Wars and want to create a small army. This set like most other battle packs is great for minifigure collectors like myself. It is good to get a few extra Stormtroopers.
Lets get straight into it... Starting with the minifigures, as I've already mentioned, I think it is great to get some stormtroopers in a inexpensive set like this one. I would although have proffered to have gotten two normal stormtroopers, one with a tacticle vest and a First Order Technician over the ones we have got. This would make it easier to create a bigger First Order army quicker. Nevertheless lets get to the minifigs he DO have: the ordinary Stormtrooper is well done and I appreciate it a lot, the First Order Stormtroopers are by far my new favourites. I reallly like the stormtrooper with the tacticle vest. It adds a bit of variety to an army. The Crew member is great and I like getting dark flesh coloured minifigures for a change. Last and rightfully least is the Technician who is very ordinary and I'm not such a big fan of his/her new helmet.
To the turret itself... Its is small and includes some cool parts. It is small, maybe a bit too small but still playable which is important. The cannon is very small but as it is supposed to do in battle packs it is able to shoot which adds to the play factor...
All in all i like the set a lot I do think they could have made it a bit cheaper though. I would recommend it to everyone who wants to build an army and also to little children who like Star Wars and/or a re getting in to it."

"This set is great for any army builder.
Pros -Turbolaser is a great design. It looks pretty much the same as seen in the movie -Minifigure printing on the stormtroopers is excellent and very detailed. -I also like the different faces the minifigures have.
Cons -The turbolaser cannon doesn't move all the way up, you can't point it to the sky. -The studshooters have no value to older builders. I have also talked with little children who said they preferred the old realistic blasters. Please bring the old blaster back, even to the small sets. -I wish i could have got more regular stormtroopers. Maybe replace one of the two other minifigures with a stormtrooper so i wouldn't have to buy so many of these.
Overall, this set is again a great product from lego. I wouldn't really complain much about anything. But seriously. Get rid of the studshooters lego."
