"This sensor is not so good. It is good for sonud, and it can be useful, (when theres no sound exept you). Overall I rate it 3*. Its good, but needs improvment."

""This sensor contributes to the robot haveing similar senses to those of a human, the only thing is the robot can't understand anything! This is a must have for lego robot fans. It lets your robot react to sound, but only to the loudness of the sound. Regardless, great sensor and I recommend it for mindstorms owners!""

"this sensor definatly needs some improvement. It detects sound very well but what Lego doesn't tell you is that it is realy a VIBRATION sensor! which means if you have a program that says "go forward till clap, when sound sensor hears clap, tribot closes claws and comes back" If you go over a bump that creates enough vibrations it will Cause the program to make the tribot come back! All in all when lego made the 2.0 kit i can see why they didnt add the sound sensor. Note to Lego:If you ever add the sound sensor to another lego kit please make sure that it is really only a sound sensor!"
"this sensor is much better than the rcx senser. it can not only detect sound but detect how much. while the nxt is conected to it and a computer, your computer will display a reading of how loud or soft the sound is to help you program. it also looks cool. this is one of the 4 sensors in the full nxt kit."
